We’re well into September now, and the MLB playoff picture is taking shape with about a dozen games left in the regular season. As the season winds down, we’re watching some key series, including the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees, which comprise two of my three best bets for this slate.Below are three bets I highly recommend considering for Sunday, Sept. 15. Let’s check it out:Boston Red Sox vs. New York YankeesThe Red Sox and Yankees totals line is 8.5 runs, and I’m slamming the over here. In this one, the two pitchers on the mound are Kutter Crawford for the Red Sox and Carlos Rodon for the Yankees.Crawford is 8-14 on the season with a 4.09 EA, while Rodon is 14-9 with a 4.15 ERA. However, these are two of the top three pitchers in HR/9, with Crawford leading the majors at 1.67 and Rodon at 1.59.In his last start against Kansas City, Rodon allowed four runs (two earned) over six innings, but he also gave up two home runs. For Crawford, he faced Baltimore and allowed three runs over 6 1/3 innings, including two home runs. Each player has allowed four home runs over their last five starts, and Yankee Stadium isn’t exactly a challenging park to hit out of.The Yankees rank second in the league in runs per game at 4.98, and the Red Sox are ninth at 4.75. So, we have two offenses that can score runs, each facing pitchers that give up the long ball.Yeah, easy over bet here. The pick: Over 8.5 Runs (-115) at FanDuel Sportsbook Boston Red Sox vs. New York YankeesPiggybacking off that synopsis of why I’m taking the over, I’m also taking Aaron Judge to hit a home run at +240.Judge is hitting .321 this season with a .453 OBP and a .687 slugging percentage. He leads baseball with 52 home runs this season. While he has just one over his last five games, he’ll take on Crawford here—not only a pitcher vulnerable to home runs but one that Judge has had a good history against. In 19 at-bats, Judge is hitting . 316 against Crawford with three home runs. This would mark another home run for Judge in this series after his go-ahead grand slam Friday, and I think he will send one out against the sport’s leader in most home runs per nine. The pick: Aaron Judge to Hit a Home Run (+240) at FanDuel Chicago Cubs vs. Colorado RockiesRounding out my best bets is the under for a Coors Field game. Considering the ballpark, that seems hard to believe, but 11.5 runs is simply too much to take a chance on.Neither pitcher headed to the mound is exactly in Cy Young consideration, and the Cubs and Rockies are averaging 12.5 runs per game in this series, but I think we’ll escape this one just shy of the over.Cal Quantrill is on the hill for the home team. He’s 8-9 with a 4.63 ERA, but he’s allowed three runs or fewer in three of his four August outings. Quantrill has a 4.26 ERA in 12 home starts.Opposing Quantrill is Cubs pitcher Kyle Hendricks, who’s actually been pretty solid at Coors in his career. He’s 2-1 with a 3.64 ERA across 29 2/3 innings, allowing 12 earned runs and just two home runs.I could see a finish at around nine or 10 runs, but I don’t think we hit a dozen here, considering Hendricks’ solid performances here and Quantrill keeping the runs down lately. The pick: Under 11.5 Runs (-122) at FanDuel Relatedbest betting sitesnewly launched sportsbooksbest sports betting appsin play bettinglive sports streamingin game cash out

Germany are the first team to qualify for the final of Euro 2008 after a 3-2 win over Turkey in a more than entertaining semi final clash.
The Turks were the stronger side in the first half and got their reward when Ugur Boral opened the score in the 22nd minute. Kazim hit the crossbar for the second time in the match but Boral netted in the rebound.
But Germany reacted soon as Bastian Schweinsteiger converted a cross from Podolski just four minutes after the opening goal.
It took until the 79th minute for the scoreline to change as Miroslav Klose took advantage of a mistake by Rüstü and headed home for 2-1.
But the Turks did what they have been doing so often in this tournament, and scored a late equaliser. It was in the 86th minute when S…
It is a sad day for the football fans all over the world. It is a sad day for the La Liga and it is indeed a very sad day for Barcelona. Pep Guardiola, the mastermind of tiki-taka has stepped down from the job of managerial role and with that an era has come to an end.
The 41-year-old dyed in the wool Catalan who served his boyhood club as player and then as manager found hard to continue despite enjoying great success as a manager first with the reserve team and then with the seniors.
He was preparing for this day. Back in December, 2011 he felt his era is coming to an end. However, like every time he always thought for the interest of the team, even if at the cost of his own exhaustion – mentally and physically. He didn’t even let his boys feel that beneath the …

Roy Hodgson has named Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard as his captain for England s Euro 2012 campaign.
John Terry, who is also included in the 23-man squad announced on Wednesday, was stripped of the armband in February, a decision that led to former Three Lions boss Fabio Capello to resign.
Gerrard has captained England on 15 previous occasions, first against Sweden in March 2004 and, the last time against Switzerland in September 2010.
Hodgson told reporters: In my opinion (Gerrard) is the man who can manage this award, or distinction.
He was delighted last night when I told him of my decision.
I m counting on him to help me and build the team unity and environment.

Neymar reached 20 goals for the season as Paris Saint-Germain booked their place in the Coupe de la Ligue semi-finals with a comfortable 2-0 away win over 10-man Amiens.
Unai Emery s men, who are seeking the trophy for a fifth consecutive year, were handed a major boost towards the end of the first half when home goalkeeper Regis Gurtner saw red for a foul on Kylian Mbappe.

Mbappe and Marquinhos both hit the woodwork, before Adrien Rabiot struck late on to ensure PSG won their sixth straight game across all competitions.

Cardiff City have completed the signing of full-back Scott Malone from fellow Championship club Millwall.
The Welsh club have reportedly been tracking the 23-year-old for a number of weeks and he pens a contract at the Cardiff City Stadium until June 2017.
And the former Bournemouth man, who made 71 appearances for Millwall, is excited by his new challenge.
With my contract soon to expire at Millwall, I was looking for a new challenge; a few clubs were interested, but when I heard Cardiff City was one of them it was an easy decision to make, he told Cardiff s official website.
The manager didn t need to persuade me at all into making this decision, I wanted to come and be part of his plans. I m very happy to be here and eager to get started.

Lionel Scaloni said Argentina produced the extra rage they needed to end their run of draws with a 1-0 Copa America victory over rivals Uruguay on Friday.
Lionel Messi crossed for Guido Rodriguez to head in the 13th-minute winner for Argentina s first victory of this year s Copa America after their opening 1-1 draw with Chile.
Scaloni has come under pressure following Argentina s run of three draws, blowing a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Colombia in CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying along with a 1-1 home draw with Chile on the roar to Qatar 2022 earlier this month.
I honestly believe that in the previous matches we also deserved to win, but due to small mistakes we were only able to draw, head coach Scaloni said during his post-match news conference.

Harry Maguire felt Manchester United s poor ball retention and weak mentality were crucial factors in their chastening 2-1 defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion in Erik ten Hag s first Premier League match in charge.
United were beginning a new era at Old Trafford on Sunday, and Brighton were seen by many as a kind first opponent despite the Seagulls battering them 4-0 in May.
Ten Hag handed debuts to Lisandro Martinez and Christian Eriksen, but with Anthony Martial injured and Cristiano Ronaldo only deemed fit enough to start on the bench, United lacked a presence in attack.
Two close-range goals from Pascal Gross had Brighton 2-0 up at half-time, and although a slightly improved United performance led to a scrappy Alexis Mac Allister own goal, the Red Devils could…
