Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson sees his long-term future at Anfield and said he is looking forward to signing a new deal.
Henderson joined Liverpool from Sunderland in 2011 and after initially struggling to make a significant impact, has hit his stride.
The 24-year-old started 35 Premier League matches last term for Liverpool and has been named the club s vice-captain this season.
Henderson has impressed again in the current campaign and is said to be close to a new deal after Daniel Sturridge signed a fresh five-year contract last week.
And a new contract is something the ex-Sunderland man would welcome, despite his future at Liverpool being committed until 2016 already.
I am just concentrating on playing football. I am not worried about …
Ched Evans has pleaded to prospective employers for the chance to prove he can be a positive influence following his release from prison.
The former Sheffield United striker left jail last Friday after serving half of a five-year sentence for rape, though he remains on licence for the remainder of his term.
Evans continues to protest his innocence over the incident that took place in May 2011 and has polarised opinions with his plans to potentially return to the game.
League One side United denied speculation last weekend that Evans was poised to seal a return to Bramall Lane, although a section of the club s supporters were vocal in their support of the 25-year-old at Saturday s Yorkshire derby with Bradford City.
If and when Evans is given the second …

Younes Kaboul believes Tottenham s excellent form has given them as good a chance as any club of claiming their first Premier League title.
The 26-year-old defender has been a crucial member of an impressive Spurs backline, only missing the two fixtures against Sunderland and Chelsea, and his presence has meant Harry Redknapp s team have been uncharacteristically robust at the back.
Tottenham have already kept eight clean sheets this term – as many as the whole of last season – which has helped fire them into Premier League contention.
Frenchman Kaboul feels being seen as underdogs for the league has helped the club keep pace with the leaders and sees no reason why the club cannot continue to press for their first top flight trophy since 1961.

Luis Enrique insisted Spain will be going for the win against Sweden on Sunday even though a draw would be sufficient for his team to win Group B and qualify for next year s World Cup in Qatar.
Spain moved top of the group after beating Greece 1-0 in Athens, taking advantage of Sweden surprisingly losing 2-0 in Georgia earlier on Thursday.
A first-half penalty from Pablo Sarabia was enough to secure victory for La Roja and means Spain now have their fate in their own hands, but Luis Enrique said they will still go for the three points when they host Sweden in Seville in their final group game.
On Sunday we will go out to win as we do every game against a very difficult opponent, but one that we know very well, Spain head coach Luis Enrique told reporters.

Barcelona sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta claims that he is confident that Josep Guardiola will renew his contract at Camp Nou.

Recent reports have suggested that the tactician could decide to leave Camp Nou at the end of the season, but club’s sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta is positive Guardiola will sign a new deal with the Catalans.
He knows he has the possibility to renew on the table, I am not looking at my phone every 10 minutes, Zubizarreta told Catalan radio station Rac1.
Pep knows himself, he knows the dressing room and the club and he know…
Adelaide United have dropped Brazilian left back Cassio from their squad for Tuesday s AFC Champions League clash with Uzbekistan s Bunyodkor.
The 32-year-old played in last month s play-off against Indonesian club Persipura, but questions emerged after Adelaide s 3-0 victory over whether or not he was eligible to play, having been sent off in the club s last ACL match in 2010 against Jeonbuk Motors.
Two weeks after the controversy arose, Australian newspaper The Advertiser reported on Friday that the Asian Football Confederation had sent a disciplinary letter to the club.
Adelaide said they had left Cassio out of their squad to ensure against a challenge from their opponents over the legitimacy of the outcome.
The club is simply not prepared (to risk …
