According to , Napoli are interested in signing Manchester United s Mason Greenwood, currently playing on loan for Getafe, but they re likely to face serious competition from Juventus for the forward.
Greenwood s career will obviously continue away from Old Trafford one way or the other. There is no place for him at United that was agreed last summer, before his temporary move to Getafe came to fruition. His situation in that aspect remains unchanged, and United are believed to be keen to part ways with the 22-year-old permanently.
Several Premier League clubs have been credited with interest, as well as the likes of Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in Spain, but it seems Italy is another option for his career to continue.

Jose Mourinho will attend Inter s match against Sampdoria on Saturday, but insists he has no designs on his old job at San Siro.
Mourinho has been linked to a host of high-profile jobs since his second tenure at Chelsea ended prematurely last December, while Inter – who he guided to back-to-back Serie A titles and Champions League glory in 2010 have seen their ambitions of claiming the Scudetto fade during the new year.
Inter owner Erick Thohir said earlier on Friday that the slump did not put current boss Roberto Mancini s job in jeopardy and Mourinho says his presence in Milan is in relation to a dinner date with Thohir s predecessor Massimo Moratti.
I ll be in Milan for one day – I am grateful to my president Massimo Moratti, who I want to personally t…
Marseille have agreed a deal for Gianelli Imbula with his parent side Guingamp.
The 20-year-old Belgian-born midfielder impressed in Ligue 2 last season as he helped Guingamp earn promotion to the French top flight.
He made 34 appearances in the club s successful season, scoring two goals as they finished runners-up in the second tier.
Imbula has been a senior player with Guingamp since 2009 after splitting his youth career between a number of clubs, including current Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain.
Following his call up to the French Under-21 side earlier this year, he played four times in the Toulon Tournament, scoring one goal in the side s 4-1 thrashing of the United States.
And such showings have clearly convinced Marseille he is capable of p…
Juventus manager Max Allegri led a remarkable turnaround to take the Old Lady from mid-table to the title with a near-prefect finish to the season.
Juventus sealed the Italian Serie A title after second-placed Napoli suffered defeat to AS Roma, leaving them 12 points adrift of leaders Juve with only nine points left to play for. While an unceremonious way to win their fifth consecutive scudetto, the manner of the Old Lady’s triumph has been incredible.
Juventus currently 25 games without defeat
Max Allegri’s side were 11th in the league with 12 points from 10 games earlier in the season, and many had ruled them out of the title race as a result. At the time, the summer exits of key players that led them to the Champions League final the previous campaign was…
Former Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic has been impressed by the club s young defenders despite a faltering campaign.
Vidic, who captained the club from 2010 to 2014 after joining in 2006, said he felt the young defenders had coped admirably with the pressure of coming into a struggling side, especially one with the expectations of United.
Tim Fosu-Mensah is the latest in a long line of youngsters to man the United defence, joining the likes of Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, Guillermo Varela, Donald Love and Joe Riley to impress, alongside the consistent Chris Smalling who Vidic says has matured into a fine centre-back.
The former Serbia international said it was particularly hard for youngsters to come into a struggling side at the back, due to the scrutiny …
Paul Pogba, Kylian Mbappe and Hugo Lloris have all been left out by France for their final match of the World Cup s group stage against Denmark.
The Manchester United midfielder has been involved in all three of France s goals at Russia 2018, with Les Bleus already assured of a place in the last 16 after Mbappe s winner against Peru.
Pogba has collected one booking during the tournament so would miss the second round game if he was booked again, with Blaise Matuidi and Corentin Tolisso in the same situation and also on the bench.
Lloris is also among the substitutes with Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane taking over the captaincy for Didier Deschamps side.

Diego Laxalt has been called up as a replacement for Cristian Rodriguez in Uruguay s Copa America Centenario squad.
Experienced winger Rodriguez, who plays his club football for Independiente, is suffering from a problem with scar tissue.
According to Uruguay s medical staff, there is no certainty the 30-year-old will recover in time to participate in the competition.
As a consequence, Uruguay coach Oscar Tabarez has selected the uncapped Laxalt, who joined Inter in 2013 but is yet to make a Serie A appearance for the Nerazzurri, going on loan to Bologna, Empoli and most recently Genoa.
Uruguay, who won the competition for the fourth time in 2011, begin their Copa America campaign by taking on Group C opponents Mexico on June 5, followed by matches a…
Croatia s clash with Denmark in Nizhny Novgorod kicked off in front of a sizeable number of empty seats.
Like every other World Cup host city, a large amount of tickets have been sold to local fans. And, just like every other World Cup host city, most of those supporters were still out on the streets, celebrating Russia s penalty shoot-out win over Spain, when Sunday s late game got underway.
Given the spectacle on offer, they will have plenty of reason to keep the party going.
This was the scene of Croatia s dismantling of Argentina in the group stage, a match that shook the South Americans to such an extent that a minute s silence was held on one national sports TV channel. That was the game that turned Zlatko Dalic s side into bankable dark horses for the tro…

Tottenham welcome Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool to Wembley on Sunday for a game that will have a big impact upon the race for the top four spots in the Premier League. Both teams head into this game off the back of positive results in the Champions League and Liverpool will be keen to find the back of the net after a frustrating 0-0 draw against Manchester United last weekend. Spurs return from Spain having recorded an impressive draw in the Bernabeu and will look to neutralise Liverpool’s attackers as effectively as they did Real Madrid’s.

Arsenal dropped points for a third Premier League game in a row as they were held to a 0-0 draw at West Ham in a wasteful showing on Wednesday.
Arsene Wenger s men were the better side for most of the match and pushed West Ham s defence to their limits at times, but in the end they were not clinical enough to take all three points, leaving them in seventh behind Burnley.
The Gunners did not fall into the trap which snared Chelsea at London Stadium on Saturday, avoiding an early concession and swiftly establishing themselves as the superior force.
Chances were by no means a regular occurrence, though, with Alex Iwobi s 27th-minute effort which hit the post the only clear-cut opportunity of the first half.
Arsenal became even more dominant after the break …
