Man Utd deal for England star ‘isn’t going to happen’ as transfer for PL star is questioned

Manchester United s attempt to restock their striking ranks has seen them set their sights on England star Ivan Toney but the club have been advised to adjust their expectations.

The Red Devils have already signed Joshua Zirkzee and have Rasmus Hojlund on their books, which leaves them fairly well-stocked when it comes to starting forwards.

There are fears that signing Toney could leave in a situation where they are unable to keep all three players happy at the club.

Toney was among the England players to impress at Euro 2024 but did so largely as a substitute.

At this stage of his career, he is unlikely to accept a squad rotation or super-sub role with any club.

While Zirkzee and Hojlund are younger players, neither of them would be keen on a r…

Chelsea star ‘not good enough’ for Aston Villa ‘getting closer’ to Atletico Madrid transfer

Conor Gallagher is closing in on a move to Atletico Madrid after Chelsea entered direct talks with the La Liga side over a deal, according to reports.

The Blues are looking to bring in some money this summer from sales and Gallagher would represent the best type of departure with their former academy graduate .

Gallagher played 37 Premier League matches for last season, contributing five goals and seven assists, and has become a fan favourite at Stamford Bridge.

But he is clearly not going to be part of Enzo Maresca s plans and the Chelsea board seem keen to offload the midfielder this summer after bringing in Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Omari Kellyman, Renato Veiga, Caleb Wiley and Marc Guiu.

The Blues have already moved on Lewis Hall, Omari Hutchinson …
